Environment of Cultivation

The Punggi ginseng is cultivated centering on Punggi which is located in the northern part of the Yeongnam region where the Tabaeksan Mountain range and the Sobaeksan Mountain range diverg.

Punggi possessed ideal conditions for ginseng cultivation with highlands 400-500 meters above sea level and the cold continental climate providing good air flow and sandy soil allowing excellent drainage.

Punggi ginseng is harvested in the fall September period when the plants are replenished and the medicinal properties have maximized.
